The World Dental Hygienist Awards, sponsored by the Sunstar Foundation, recognize dental hygienists who have made significant contributions to the dental and dental hygiene communities, their profession, or to the general public.
Licensed/certified dental hygienists and students of dental hygiene are eligible to enter. Winners receive cash prizes and a commemorative trophy as well as travel to the 2016 International Symposium on Dental Hygiene. For further details and application information, please go to

ANNOUNCING WINNERS OF 4TH SUNSTAR WORLD DENTAL HYGIENIST AWARDS
We are thrilled to reveal the Winners of the 4TH SUNSTAR WORLD DENTAL HYGIENIST AWARDS which recognize dental hygienists who have made significant contributions to dental hygiene science or to patients, the community and/or the general public.
Submission falling either in Project or Research Categories were evaluated by an Independent Selection Committee.
The Award Categories:
• Research Category: $5,000
• Project Category: $3,000
• Student Research Category: $2,000
• Student Project Category: $2,000
The Award Ceremony:
The award ceremony will take place at the 20th Symposium of the International Federation of Dental Hygienists (IFDH), June 23-25, 2016, in Basel, Switzerland. For more information about the symposium, contact the IFDH directly at www.ifdh.org
